You guys sure whine a lot. It's just a frickin uniform. Talk about first world problems.
I wonder how many of you will remember this anger when you cash that check on the 15th. Lots of pilots out there dying to take your job. Suck it up and wear whatever you're told to or quit. It's really that simple. Quit yer b******.

Since you bring up money...That's a good topic.
How much does this new uniform transformation cost?
How much do we lose in profit sharing next year because someone wants to get giggy with it?

This gets a solid second place next to the McPeak comment. I feel sorry for you guys, but am thankful your company jumped on the purple tie grenade before mine did.
Now I will go button up my double breasted coat and actually wear my hat that looks stupid. At least you get the option on the hat.

Interesting though.....McPeak really screwed up a "quality air force" with his TQM and a few other initiatives.
One thing I like about the US Navy, their uniforms were in style in 1943, and they are still in style today. It's timeless. No need to change for the sake of change. Just keep it classy.
I think if the Pan Am uniforms were dusted off they would look great.

Yeah a color I have to wear about half the month. A color I have to wear in front of my friends and family. A color thousands of passengers will see me wearing every month. A color I wouldn’t wear EVER by choice. Now is the time to shut this down.
It is not becoming of a professional airline pilot at a legacy airline that has been around since the day of flying mail.

From: It's still a Guppy, just a bit longer.
It's 50% Luftwaffe, and 50% 1973 San Francisco pimp.
After we exchange Hail Hitler Salutes in the crew room, we're gonna do a funkey jive hand shake. At our crew brief it won't surprise me to hear a few star trek trivia questions followed by the solid gold dancer review.
Optional uniform items: Plum feather for the cap (gotta pimp it out), barney sing a long song book (gotta get in rhythm), platform shoes (its all about the walk), bell bottoms are approved (disco is back).
Only crew vans with disco ball will be ALPA approved. The ladies man from SNL will be approving all ALPA hotels.
