Saw the actual uniform in ORD yesterday on a wear tester. The jacket lining is purple as well and the color is a much lighter blue than it appears. To me it looked like a repeat of the uniform from the '90's only with silver piping, purple lining, and a purple tie. The wear tester said the colors were not "set in stone" so who knows what the final look will be.

If you think purple is not an appropriate choice please file a PDR with ALPA.

Someone said it was plum colored, so all you purple haters can rest easy.

No. Final new uniforms won't be out until 2020.

Black looks stable, conservative. Passengers like stable and conservative. Purple is wild and zaney, not qualities that should be portrayed by airline pilots. But that is my opinion, I'll show up as long as they keep paying me.

I don’t complain much, but don’t care for the heavy ‘plum’.

I may have to improvise some with this, should it come to fruition.

Where’s that PDR form?

the question is, will they repaint the airplanes/new interiors. And what kind of toothpaste tube/vomit comet color scheme will it look like?
