Default Cops tell Pilot to pushback or else

I heard a story about a DEN airport Cop telling a captain to pushback or else. Anyone have a link to an article about that? I seem to vaguely remember it from several years ago.

Thx

Sounds far-fetched and illegal.

Far fetched? Unfortunately not. Had a friend divert into White Plains in an RJ year’s ago and it ended in an altercation with a local LEO ordering him to move his aircraft off the ramp. Ugly.....

It does, but it's a true story and the pilot was arrested.

I won't repeat the specifics here on APC (it happened several years ago) but needless to say it received plenty of attention on all sides and the pilot was not at fault.

I know the story from the UAL forum . Don’t remember specifics but from what I recall the cop threaten to arrest the captain for what ever the issue was . Not certain if the arrest actually happened .

Was it the guy that punched the CSR over a jumpseater issue?

If anybody had been punched, UAL would have fired the offender instantly and the perp would have been convicted of assault.

Neither happened.

When his lawyers finally got UAL to release the tapes from the Passenger Loading Bridge cameras, it backed up the Captain's version of what transpired...he did not punch/assault the Gate Agent.
