Default Jumpseat from GIG?

Hey UA brothers & sisters,
SWA pilot here. Would love to catch the jumpseat out of GIG to IAH tomorrow night. Is this possible? I've noticed it's gotten easier in Europe lately, so I'm curious if that's trickled down to South America yet.
If not, I'll buy A ZED, but cheap pilot here, soooo...
Thanks, all.

Physical jumpseat no, seat in the cabin if available than yes. Tomorrow night should be no problem as loads look good.

Not sure of all the logistics in GIG, but the flight has a bunch of open seats, so the seat in the back requirement for intl, should not be a problem.

The Flight Planning area is in the Departures Hall, but not exactly sure where. Counter D is the check in area, so hopefully they can point you to where the Flight Planning area is, so you can meet the crew. They should be there an hour and a half before departure. If you can meet up with them, I think the process can become much easier.

You are more than likely to meet the pilots at the gate than at the flight planning area. The flight planning area is a little difficult to find.

It’s a good crew tomorrow night so you won’t have a problem if there’s a seat in back.

Ah, but the challenge is how to get to the gate in the first place...
In Europe, I'm used to going to the "sales counter". Does that work here in SA too?

Ooh, didn’t think about that. I’ll ask on our forum.

Answer is to check in at the ticket counter.

Cool, you know this from first hand knowledge? If so, sweet, super easy!
