It was frustrating for me but I get why he did it. A sudden bad divorce, plus a pretty good new contract at his current airline (FAL). Giving up 14 years seniority, lives in Denver, based in Denver.

She took him to cleaners, it would be tough to survive for the couple of years it would take to equal his pay. It was a huge waste of my time, energy and goodwill in the end though. I am not interested in doing another one for anybody at the moment.

Gotcha! I’ve heard this BS rumor about UAL not hiring overly experienced people for years and it is highly incorrect. I get what you are saying though.

You should ask his ex out.

I’m just a fairly normal guy and got the CJO with less than 1400 TPIC. They really seem to look at the whole resume, which is a good thing in my opinion.

According to some of my United friends, it seems that United doesn't like high time Captains and I am worried about building more TPIC than I already have. Is this something that people on this board share a consensus with?
The vast majority of new hires I see are ExpressJet with lots of time and TPIC. Most of them were check airmen.

I don’t at all think more TPIC will hurt. Good luck and hope to see you online soon!

I got hired with 13,000 TT, 8,000 Part 121 JetPIC (737/CRJ) 4.3 years ago.

United needs new-hires that can/want to move to left seat ASAP. Big retirement wave about to roll-in.

And who knows, we may end up with E195’s if things ever get sorted out straight in Mgmt. heads. 🙄

Hoping that he 135 TPIC will once again become valuable as it used to be. I’ve got about 1700 121 SIC time but to go get regional 121 PIC time for me would be a 50-60k cut and back to commuting. Just can’t swallow that pill. Have wondered what the chances would increase to if I went to an LLC like Spirit/JB with 2000 135 TPIC. Any thoughts on that or just hang on until the wave really kicks in?
