That's a tough question. There's different types of swallows.

Barn Swallow
Purple Martin is actually a swllow
Tree Swallow
American Cliff Swallow
Northern Rough Winged Swallow

There's more......like lots more. The really cool ones and faster ones hail from Africa.

Generally speaking, about 24 miles per hour is a good estimate though of the two fastest swallows.

I am fond of the Connecticut Warbler. Lovely bird.

Hire like crazy right up to the furlough.

Just left TK. The staffing on the 737 is messed up right now due to the max, but they’re going to continue to hire so that they have the crews when it gets certified. They built the new sim building for expansion and every simulator bay is already spoken for, mostly 737 sims. Some simulators are sitting in a warehouse waiting on the building to be completed. They’re even talking about putting in another sim building. Right now the plan is to proceed with the current growth plan, but that seems to change as quickly as the Denver weather. Things change so often it’s better to react to what they do than try to guess the future.

24 mph? In a residential area sure. But I've seen them on Interstates and so forth upwards of 65 even 75 mph. And the Connecticut wabler, well my goodness. I had only had a few drinks that night when all the sudden..........................wait, did you say wabler, or warbler?

The Barn Swallow may be the fastest swallow. It's been clocked flying 46 m.p.h. The Barn Swallow is the only North American swallow with a deeply forked tail. It's about 5 to 7 inches long, and weighs 17 to 19.8 grams, or 3/4 ounce.
