Also don’t believe the company talking points on cost for additional fleet types. They are not 100’s of million of dollars per year. Maybe at most 100 million over the lifecycle of the airframes.....but what is a 100 million bucks when you are coming up on almost 10BILLION in stock buy backs!!!!!!!!! I beg everyone of my fellow pilots to see that the cost of an additional fleet is small and is covered mostly by the additional revenue by offering the right size plane on the route. Oh and Incase you think I’m crazy UAL already owes a plenty of 175’s and the cost of those fleets leave enough meat on the bone to hire 4 management teams, plus 4 different training centers, plus 4 different scheduling departments and so on .......( I do realize that UAL only owns Mesa and express jets 175’s but still they have 4 different operations).

Bingo.

If UAL can support four duplicate E-Jet operations, the BIG PICTURE limitation is not ultimately cost.

Can’t y’all just relieve the weight limitations a little bit so we can fly the shiny new 175-E2. Have the company give you a bonus for the fuel savings of the E2 :D

And all but one of those E-jet operators have revenue streams from airlines other then United.

In the next downturn ahead, will UAL pilots take pay concessions or give management scope expansion? You will have to give something back.

Full pay til the last day. United pilots don’t “have” to give up pay or work rules and have a pretty recent recollection of why that is.

Maybe it’s time for you to go back to the regional forum.

Unless the company is going to use the bankruptcy laws to steal scope, like they did retirement, we don’t have to give up shot. You seem excited for scope relief, I feel bad for you. You must be stuck at the regional with no way out. Must be a bad pilot.
