Default More Sky West fun

Would it be appropriate to list the names of any SKY WEST Captains denying jump seats to United Pilots?

THE SKYWEST PROBLEM IS NOT RESOLVED.

I would like to start listing their names. Is the forum ok with that?

Default In someone else’s shoes

The FOM at Skywest lists the priority of JS and I’m betting the average Capt there isn’t trying to keep anyone from getting on. ESPECIALLY those trying to get to a major. Imagine being in that position and having to decide between what your company tells you and the job you want in the future. Unless the Capt is particularly hateful are disrespectful I think our respective unions/company needs to fix this. Just an opinion.

Baseball:

I’d really speak to my Rep about that first. At this point, the UAL MEC has not promoted any action against the Skywest and Republic Pilots. Defamation laws are not intuitive, and I wouldn’t risk non coordinated action. Most of these Pilots are good guys who’ve been mislead be their student council.

I wouldn’t post names on a public forum. That would be considered a smear campaign and just make us look bad. Simply walk away and file a PDR. If there are to be any repercussions from this it isn’t up to line pilots to decide what they are, or how to dish them out. If the data piles up and this gets to a point where those in charge take notice they may decide to do just that. Right now it’s just forum bit@#!ng and the only thing that is going on is data collection.

If you smeared and slandered my name on a public forum you had better lawyer up.

You realize slander involves a false statement, right?

Simply listing a name in a public place does not meet the definition of slander . The statement has to be false to qualify.
