Nice thinly veiled legacy dig there. That vote passed the pilots with flying colors so your "blame CAL" narrative fails miserably.

Your passive-aggressive skills are lacking as well, at least have the guts to say what you mean.

Its not thinly veiled anything. That’s how they actually voted. We tried to kill it at the MEC because we knew it would pass if it went to ratification.

Let it go, the merger is done, move on with your life...

Remind me again how the vote went for POS ‘12 again? Think more CAL Reps voted no to our original crappy merger contract than the mighty UAL types did.

As a PS we had way more leverage during that time frame than the one you’re alluding to.

We had an opportunity, but one side wanted to play games with stuff like 150 more guppy Captains in IAH than we needed etc and sort of forced everyone into a bad situation. Don’t even pretend that anyone LCAL voted that down for anything to do with the contract, since it was the best contract any CAL pilot had ever seen.

Remember, the negotiating committee has just one job: to get a contract passed. And that takes 50% plus one. For me, if there aren’t serious changes to reserve rules and hard stand on scope, it’s a flat out “no”.

I disagree! The Company wants the 50 + 1, the NC should want a consensus. If we get a vote on a TA and voting participation of over 90% combined with a 75%+ ratification percentage, then the NC/MEC have done their jobs.

Dont look for a new contract in 2020.Probably 2021 at best. Gotta go thru all the BS first . Always have always will. Promises are as helpful as the dogsh.t on my shoe. Just a realist.

Not to worry. We'll get full retro.

Oh you mean the artificial panic created when CAL Pilots were upgrading into CAL purchased aircraft, that “opportunity”?

Might want to ask the former IAH and LAX Reps why they voted the way they did and I’ll give you a small himt. Had everything to do with content and nothing to do with the seat grab hysteria. Those two Councils aligned themselves with the West Coast UAL side during the whole process right up until the hysterical seat grab nonsense reared it’s ugly head.

Make no mistake, the absolute best chance to make the biggest gains were thrown away during that time frame and the very worst of the CAL Reps voted yes to do so.
