Great prep. Had 40 page discussion pdf talking about what is being tested and practice tests with feedback of how to better answer. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk |
Jumping back into this thread. What websites should i go about doing test prep for Hogan?
What other resources can i go for passing the Hogan? Side track, I am planning on using CAGE for my f2f interview. Their resume and cover letter had already took weeks to review and process. I wonder if UAL had given me an early interview date for example, do i even have time to buy CAGE and get prep? I understand I should only get the prep when i receive an interview date. Do i even have time? Or does UAL give more than enough time so you can do your prep with CAGE if you get what i mean. Thank you! |

Hogan doesn’t need any prep. Just sit in a quiet place at home late at night & start answering the questions. The answers are very straight forward. No prep needed. Just answer the questions without over thinking it. Very rare to fail the Hogan. Don’t try to trick the test in any way. I think I finished the test in less than 15 mins.

Thank you! But reading some older posts from 2018 and ago showed a different story, even applicants with 15+ LOR couldnt get a f2f because of a failed Hogan. Some guys whom you don't want to be flying with, all passed. Another post said, you should be "jesus for 15min" to do the test, whatever that means. Don't want to risk the chances! So looking if any prep helps :)

The process changed in last 8 months, don’t rely on old posts. Just answer truthfully, don’t over think and don’t try change a answer to what you thought you answered before.

I took it several years ago and passed. Here is my priceless insight.
The bulk of the questions seemed divided into two categories: 1. I like X, and 2. I want to be an Xer, for example "I like surfing" or "I would like to try surfing" vs. "I want to be a surfer". I answered honestly, but noticed it was YES to most of the former and NO to most of the latter. After all, I like things but am happy with who I am and do not need to be something else. I believe the distractor category is the topic of e.g. surfing, reading books, scuba diving. The real categorization is "I like X" vs "I want to be an Xer". So if you think you've beat the test by answering YES/AGREE to all questions about whether you study history, and NO/DISAGREE to all questions about whether you like race cars, you've actually answered inconsistently to the real question which is: Do you like who you are? Yes, I've read into it and overthought it. I'm interested to hear about other patterns people have noticed in this test and possible explanations. When you take the test, realize that there is most likely a graded subset of these patterns that is cleverly hidden beneath more obvious ones. |
Any insight on how long they get back to you after taking the test?

It seems to vary a lot. Anywhere from a day to a week, or sometimes a little more.

When you take the test, realize that there is most likely a graded subset of these patterns that is cleverly hidden beneath more obvious ones. That is what I mean when I say answer honestly. Others are more subtle. I often show off. No, not my style. I sometimes show off. Yes, who doesn't. Be honest. Those are my answers for my reasons. Give your honest answers for your reasons. Don't over think it. Just answer. Time is a factor. Don't take the test after a long day or if you are fatigued. Be rested, happy and in a comfortable, quite space. After that it's up to the algorithm. Good luck |
