Go volunteer at a local coronavirus quarantine facility for a month.

I don’t think many takers at 50... if they go to 60 more will bite.

SRL will go senior. The only fleet where that may not be the case is the 777. But they’ll fill every 777 SRL. Would you rather commute to reserve or sit at home for lesser pay? Besides, 777 flying will have a bunch of hub to hub flying so reserves are going to get used.

If the entire pilot group got infected with Corona Virus 🦠 the size of their sick banks may die but nothing more serious than that. I haven’t seen a pilot that smokes in ages.

Wife has 3 approved bid award transfer days in April to be in her schedule. Do these days invalidate her eligibility to request the 50 hour line? If she's still eligible, I'm assuming she won't get the 50 hours plus the 15 transfer day hours?

Has she consolidated? If not, she’s not eligible.

You have a better chance getting in a bad auto accident driving to the airport than you do flying to Vegas or Disney and catching this virus. I wouldn’t want to go to Wuhan to dine on street vendor food, but I wouldn’t think twice about flying domestically, or most parts of the world for that matter. If I can get a reduction line, I’m wanting to take the family to London and then Germany for spring break. First class is wide open.

100%, it’s just a matter of time before pilots at UAL get COVID19. I’m shocked we haven’t already. Check back to this post in 14 days.

Currently if we get a cold or the flu, we take time off until we’re well. With the COVID19, I wonder if there will be any additional hoops to jump through or if the FAA medical will be in any kind of jeopardy?

That’s just it. There are many people (globally) who have had or do have it and don’t know it.
What are you concerned with regarding medicals? It’s a bug that goes away in all but the very worst scenarios.

I'm sure a bunch of us have unknowingly had it. I've had a couple of colds since Nov. Very mild except for the puking whole chicken eggs part. Never know...

yeah this entire thing is ridiculous. If dudes are getting hepatitis on layovers in Mexico, surely someone has brought back COVID....especially the habitual HKG crowd.
