Thanks to all.

Will do. I will have a lot of time on my hands at home.
Just to pass on some stats, I'm just shy of 60, overweight (but am trying to diet/exercise more and have lost ~10 lbs since Thanksgiving), high BP, borderline diabetic (A1C levels dropped quite a bit on last test thanks to the weight loss; almost out of danger zone), high cholesterol. So yes, I check a lot of the 'no bueno' boxes for coronavirus.
Frankly, if I do contract coronavirus, I want to be able to seek medical attention fairly quickly so staying at home was a no-brainer when my wife told me she's been exposed.. And fortunately, Las Vegas hasn't had too many cases yet. We have Tricare Prime so we'll see how responsive they are should one of us have a temperature spike.

I was busy doing an inventory around the house to make sure we're not short on anything.
We built this house 2 yrs ago and I had GFI electrical outlets installed next to our toilets and installed 2 bidets so we won't have a TP shortage in the house.

As far as food, we didn't stockpile anything there either but our pantry's fine for now. Worst case, Uber eats will be dropping a lot of stuff of at the front door.
I did put up a sign on the front door stating: 'Coronavirus quarantine' for anyone who comes to the door.

Took a while to find a working thermometer. Also forget about trying to buy one online for a reasonable price right now. We had one with a dead battery; I've ordered another LR41 battery for it.
Our temperatures are fine for now so I'm not running out to get a coronavirus test. I don't know if my wife's employer is going to want her tested without symptoms.

You guys might want to do an inventory of what you've got in the house as far as medical supplies. That's probably going to be the most important thing to have in the house. Everything else can be delivered.

… not worried about my sick bank for now; this is what it's there for.

Good luck to all and be safe out there.

Don’t you guys have the standard MOU to cover these kinds of events without depleting the sick bank?

Andy-
As a fellow United pilot, let me just say this.. ALL THE BEST!
Stay Strong and Healthy. If you do get it AND get sick, power through!

We may not always all agree with each others views on these message boards, but we need to step away from the petty BS and stick together when the **** hits the fan.

Andy, without getting to personal, can you update us daily on what is going on?
Think it would be very insightful to read what happens to you. If you get symptoms or not. If you do, how you handle it.

I'm pretty far away but if there is anything I (or we.. on the forums) can do, don't hesitate.

I honestly expect that most of us have already been exposed to it. Some may even be carrying it. But we WILL get through this.

Always
Motch

If you ever really do run out of anything that you can’t get locally... I’ll gladly ship or mail something directly to you (assuming I can get it here in Denver). Not the most efficient method but just an option. Take care.

Today Andrew Cuomo (Gov of NY) said that 38 percent of the patients hospitalized (there) were between the ages of 20 and 54. Yeah, just the flu.

I think everyone can agree by now it’s more contagious and deadlier than a regular seasonal flu. Still, when a younger person ends up in the hospital, that doesn’t mean they are healthy for their age. Obesity and diabetes for example (too much of that in younger people these days unfortunately). This article addresses the stat Cuomo brought up.

A quick update. Both wife and I have temps below 98 degrees. Monitoring our temps several times a day.

Went through the math with my wife. She was exposed to a coworker last weekend so she's now in the window where symptoms would expect to start appearing.
We are conservatively calculating the first day she was possibly contagious was yesterday (it could have been earlier). That puts me in self quarantine through the first, and possibly starting to show symptoms in a few days.

Now, here's the scary part. My wife's employer can't afford to lose staffing due to quarantine so she's still working at her urgent care (along with her coworkers) through all this with wearing masks and gloves. Keep in mind that it was a coworker who tested positive. They are directed to monitor their temperatures and to keep working until their temperature hits 100.4.
My advice to all is to delay any routine medical appointments where you may be exposed to coronavirus. Urgent care, general practitioner, and hospitals. I'd have less concern with a podiatrist, etc visit where contagious people aren't likely to be patients.

Doesn’t your Mou cover you (paid) if a family member is quarantined without a test?

This. My wife also works in healthcare (ad mil) and has been recommending to people to avoid hospitals, clinics and other healthcare facilities unless you absolutely have to go in, not only to flatten the curve and reduce the strain on healthcare infrastructure, but also because many medical facilities have the potential to inadvertently spread the virus. If you have something elective coming up, cancel it if it hasn't already been canceled. If you need to see a family practice doctor for something like a prescription renewal or something else minor, ask if you can do telehealth instead of going in.
