It’s true! If the airlines take the bailout cash, they can’t furlough or cut pay until Sept 30th. This is a good example of some tasty PORK in the CARES Act. mmmm. Pork tastes good!

Exactly right. Nothing keeps them from notifying you in Aug of. Oct 1 furlough

Curious, what about downgrades? Apparently there is one airline out there trying to get clarification. Argument is a downgrade is not a furlough, and pay rates are already established for both CA and FO and those rates aren’t changing, and that a status change isn’t protected from CARES act, just a furlough and paycuts.


Thoughts?
