Downgrade

As the airline downgrades over 2,000 pilots, which is very disgusting, I am wondering what the new CA seat seniority per equipment?

How many years with the company does that equate to?

It depends on what side you were hired on and how the ISL treated you but for a UAL guy it’s about 23 years.

This is the norm for me, this is my 8th or 9th displacement and my second time off the captains seat. Well actually off the 320 left seat I am holding 737 Cap by about two right now. I’m sure I’ll get scraped on the next “clean up” bid.

Oh yeah I forgot to add, Special K sucks...

Wow. That sucks. I've got lots of friends over there, and I hate to see BOHICA. You guys just can't get a break.

For the LUAL side, it’s actually a bit less than 15 years employed as many of those junior captains were furloughed for years. Hundreds of furloughed LUAL went ahead of active LCAL pilots.

Why even answer these kind of questions when all it does is dredge up old SLI grievances? The answer is simple - a seniority number. Talking about hire dates only keeps the DOH myth alive for future generations. A lot of pilots on this board will see a merger & SLI in their career, so let's not perpetuate bad info. I'm so over the SLI arguments....let it die.
