Why do you all have to vote? SWA made an offer and one can take it or leave it. Why is ALPO making this so difficult?

I bet the ability to make the offer went through SWAPA MEC first. And check out the "ALPO" pay rates at the ALPO carriers. Choice. $$$

No it did not. SWAPA is very clear these are company programs.

Personally, I never got an interview with UAL. Better lucky than good as they say--life would have been quite different. My SWA new hire partner got a job offer from United 3 days into training and left after another week. Alas, he's been furloughed twice and gone through hell.

SWAPull and ALPO both have their issues--and pilots make fun of both. I think the barb was the requirement ALPO national approve everything for the UAL MEC.

because it wasn’t just “offered”, it’s a negotiated Letter of Agreement.

Say what now?

ALPA National has nothing to do with this.

Never applied. They weren't hiring when I got on here. Point?

Let's be honest here. The airline world is a zero sum game. I feel bad for anyone who losses a job but if it is between my airline and any other one, I hope the others fail and disappear and we succeed. Oh yeah, that's called business. This isn't a charity. Have issue with that?
