Yes.

FYI, you can also get your photo retaken anytime but you'll pay a nominal payroll deducted fee.

Once recalled, what dictates how much time we have to return to training? Is it immediately or is there a window of time?

You can either accept the offered class or bypass recall up to TEN YEARS from date of furlough.

Once you bypass they won't call you again but you simply let them know which class you would like (provided classes are available.) So in theory you could take a class a month later or in several years.

The entire time you bypass you are still considered a furloughed pilot and retain your seniority number and travel benefits.

Once every furloughed pilot has been offered recall then UAL can hire off the street. This is why new hire classes the past several years had furloughed pilots mixed in.

I'd strongly recommend that every potentially affected pilot read section 7 of the UPA.

Can you return to the same base you were furloughed from?

Yes, but only if it's offered in your recall class and you can hold it in the drop.

If you are not recalled to the same base you are eligible for a paid move.

From what I remember, when a furloughed pilot gets recalled they are subject (initially) to whatever the unfilled vacancies are for that class. They can bid out to whatever their seniority can hold during a vacancy bid though once they’re an active pilot.
