I agree. Some guys worried over BK .... I would rather be out as long as it last rather than be on the property for another BK and all the crap that goes with it. I think UAL will be ok if things come back next spring.
Hoping for the best for everyone. Too many people are too scared of COVID. Here's a CDC graph that shows how much the mortality numbers have declined. Don't let the media see it; someone might actually try to spread some positive news on the virus. https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/nvss/vsrr/c....htm#AgeAndSex And of course if you're under 65, your odds of mortality decline significantly. |

They're both corrupt clowns. There are no leaders running in 2020.
You're almost out the door anyway so none of it is going affect you. Well I have over 20 years left and this does affect me and I seem to recall those “Dems” as being the voices that ensured that the bailout money received be tied to jobs preserved until October 1st. Please don’t go down the fear mongering mode of the bad Democrat’s this and that as it relates to the industry because it simply isn’t true. |
Everything else aside, here is how the industry has looked over the course of my career:
Clinton : Huge contractual gains And movement Bush: massive pay cuts, furloughs Obama: Airline stability, new contracts, lots of movement. Trump: lots of movement followed by massive furloughs and potential bankruptcies. Dems= 1 step forward Republican = 2step back |

(I won't bother poking any more holes in that silliness) |

In case you weren't aware, the House is controlled by the Ds. The Senate and WH are controlled by the Rs. The legislation needed to be approved by all 3. It wasn't going to get passed if not for both sides supporting it. Vox isn't exactly right leaning and they cite Senate Ds holding up passage of the CARES act, so I don't know where you got the idea that the Ds were the tip of the spear on this. https://www.vox.com/policy-and-polit...onavirus-fails |
I'll toss out this silver lining. Many foreign carriers are deeply wounded from this. Once international travel opens up, United could do very well on international travel.
