God bless em! Glad some people love it. Get me in and out and on with life!

Some of us just want to check the completion box... and commute home ASAP ...
Maybe a few of us want a “productive” sim session where some learning occurs....

Most don’t have a problem doing both. I’ve never had a problem commuting into a sim session and doing well, and I’m average at best. I feel no different at any point in the training footprint than I do commuting into a busy domestic 4 day, or a high time international 3 day. Know the call outs, flows, and systems, and the rest is just flying. That part is basically the same thing on every fleet regardless if we’re there for initial or recurrent.

I get it. And some of us, even average pilots like myself don’t seem to have the wheels fall off after a few 6 hour training events backed up without 20 hours of rest in between each session. Study well, don’t hang out at characters pounding IPA’s and eating half lbs burgers like way too many pilots tend to do down there and get some sleep. It isn’t a cake walk, but this isn’t a ball buster, mission impossible like you’re making it out to be.

Yes... saving costs is part of what they do. Otherwise it would be a 3 month military aircraft qualification.

Ahhhh the joys of a 4 week course squeezed into 3 months! Time to improve your golf game!

What kind of OE requirements come with the short requal courses if you go from right seat to right seat on something else? Is it just the 15 hours like you do after a full course if you don’t switch seats?

I know that. Just wondering what the minimum is when someone has previous time. They’re sure to find me soon.
