Nope - TI stated explicitly in his mail that all “all mitigation needs to [...] stop planned displacements ...”

I don’t see the word “planned” in his email - Did i overlook it, or did you modify his quote?

Seems like a big difference to me. I read it as stopping all future displacement bids, where the quote you used indicates to me it would include already announced but untrained displacements as well.

I guess we find out in a week or so.

NO Concessions! Been down that road before... How did that work out....Oh But this time will be different!

So let's just furlough 2850 right? This isn't the 80s or 90s. Get over it. Your talking like a scab. Industry has changed. It will pass.

exactly. The inability to think critically about something is amazing. I’m impressed our union came up with something and look forward to reading it myself.

It’s not difficult to see that the last couple displacements were setting us up for Oct 1 where we could furlough.

When you combine that with what the MC said in his email you can see some real benefit for every seniority bucket. “Any potential mitigation must achieve our goals: stop planned furloughs, stop displacements,....”

Top 1/3: Seniority will allow them to pickup most premium pay since nobody is furloughed. No displacement to lower paying aircraft.

Middle 1/3: Some premium pay. No displacement to lower paying seat or aircraft.

Bottom 1/3: Keep Job

Maybe I’m naive and perhaps I’ve oversimplified. I do however look forward to seeing what we have to vote on.

Premium pay? You’re kidding right? We are at less than 40% of our schedule and winter is right around the corner.

Those who truly understand what’s happening ,and know the history to provide context, were banned. Sad that it turned into a place of such little industrial knowledge, when for years it was the gold standard of pilot forums. I hope the mods reconsider their poor decision.

I'm assuming this is a technical question instead of an existential one?

If so, as you know the the main web address results in a non-sensical error. Obviously they are having some serious problems.

However, it looks like the link to unread posts works as a backdoor of sorts. (This requires that you have already signed on and there's cookies on your device.)
