Do you guys understand how the refrain “I don’t trust the union, I’m doing what’s right for me” might sound a little concerning?

Even voting yes I bet they furlough 2000 on June 1, 2021 because the TA allows that. The only way I don't think that happens is with a faster turn around than most are expecting.

If we vote no, they will furlough 2,850 this year, and most likely another 1,000+ on top of that by June 2021. The company is going to slash pilot cost starting next month. We can either tell them to furlough as many as they need, or collectively buy some time. It’s not a good TA, but it is what we have. Kirby is up against the clock. Congress is going to be obsessed with the open Supreme Court seat and extending the PSP is way on the back burner and the fire is just flickering. When this election is over, the company is going to react accordingly. They will go full speed with the TA, or the furlough plan.

As a pilot due to be furloughed on Oct 1, I will say this is one of the most insulting, inflammatory, and juvenile posts I’ve read on the subject. I am ashamed to be associated with you.

Have you considered the incremental furlough cost beyond 2850? Those additional 1000 come at a significantly higher cost to the Company - every single one of them. It’s not like furloughing FAs. I think there’s a good reason the additional 1000 haven’t seen WARN letters. And all of those will require 3 months advance notice with furlough pay and vacation. That’s a lot money. Why haven’t they sent the letters already if they intend to furlough? What’s it cost to send a letter?

It costs stock prices. Pilots=planes to Wall Street. They will send them last minute after prepping Wall Street.

Did they have to rename the TA because it doesn’t really mitigate furloughs...??

Should’ve renamed it the “Furlough mitigation for six months and less pay for 2 years or more concessions agreement “
