Speaking of living in a bubble, can you share with the group precisely what compensation reductions will be taken at the MEC level?

I don't know the answer to that unfortunately.
But unlike us, the guys on full time paid leave keep working the same amount. Most of them do work hard and do best they can, so personally I don't mind them keeping it, but totally get if others would call for a change if this TA passes.

How convenient that you don't know the answer. Not taking cuts at the top is a leadership failure. They should know better after all we’ve gone through over the years. Don’t tell us how hard they work when we don’t have the option to work hard ourselves these days. At least those of us not banking 180 hours flying short notice premium pay cargo trips.

Very convenient. I wish I knew the answer to every single question on this planet. Should I make up stuff just like the .org website?

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - BREAKING: MEC MEMBERS AGREE TO TAKE 400% paycut to enhance paychecks of senior 787 captains flying ppu trips, will give away free ponies to children of furloughees.

Again, that's why I totally see the other side of it.

Bob actually knew the answer because the union had time to work on it. Unfortunately, this is the best they could come up with because their position is untenable.

Please, stop asking questions!

No go ahead and ask all the questions. I'm all for an actual discussion. But if I don't know something I'll say that and not make up stuff.

Ok, I’ll ask. Seems Duvie and NucFalsh at least owned up to the fact that they were soon to be pay protected in the middle third. Are you in this same group? If so I totally get your motivation for trying to persuade others to vote yes.

Union is paid through the policy manual, I know of only one airline that had a ALPA pay codified in their company contract, and that particular MEC utilized that to rip off their pilot group and their company.

If someone has an issue with the Full time ALPA pay, there are methods to address that. But to sink a TA, or for that matter to support it based on displeasure with ALPA flight pay loss is absurd.

BTW: this was brought up during the council 5 meeting this week. A EWR 777 Captain called out the MEC Chairman on pay cuts for Union guys, MEC chairman said they were taking a “Voluntary Cut”, then Insler called out the Captain for banking 159 hrs last month 😳and asked if he was going to cut back on his pay.
