Seems like 320 DCA looks pretty good save the co-basing coverage.

Not easy to answer days off as that depends on min line values, which vary monthly of course.

I’m at 9600 roughly in system seniority and just below holding a line next month. The vacancy bid showed me at 54% overall, but in PBS I’m at 84%.

DCA 777 is a complete crap shoot right now until the PW powered aircraft come back.

I’m not holding my breath for staffing to get fixed anytime soon in DCA on either aircraft.

IF it gets fixed, and that depends on how you define fixed (company vs pilot defined) WB FO on reserve is generally good. Better than narrow body reserve for sure. When they are short staffed though it’s FAR worse. IMHO, anyway. I’ve been here almost 7 years and been exclusively on the 756, 777, and 787. Did the multi-leg days for 20 years before here and had enough. Late in the day reports with early releases, one and done with a long layover is my cup of tea now. Reserve or not.

What?! What kind of question is this? A "mid-level" line holder should know the answer to this question. With an LPA of 79hrs for Jan, that equals what, 15-18 days-off a month. Standard! Summer months, 12-15.

I know some say to plan on min guarantee while on reserve, but is it possible (probable if trying hard) to credit into the 90s range or higher as a WB reserve if picking up a trip or two on your off days on the 77/78? Is the 75 DCA same or different while on reserve?

Reserve doesn’t work that way. I’m simplifying things a little bit since reserve rules are a novel, but picking up trips on days off isn’t a thing.

Ok. Thank you! What about as a line holder? If you’re awarded a mid 70s line, could you then pick up a straight time trip or a premium trip to push it into the 90s or 100s consistently? Realistic as a junior line holder if willing to work for it?

You can always work for more time IF there are trips open and your schedule has gaps that accommodate them. Counting on picking that up routinely into the 90-100 range probably isn’t a good bet. And jr lineholders generally aren’t getting premium pay trips before they get picked up by someone more senior.

Either way, WB junior lineholder is many years away.

Thanks again!

completely depends on the fleet, domicile, and month of the year
