Default EWR area AME

Hi everyone. Can any pilots who live in EWR area share who they use as an AME? I tried to reach Dr. John Dellorso because he had really good reviews on this forum from couple years ago but it seems like he has since retired. Appreciate any recs!

I'm curious too. I've been using Dr. Katz down in Colts Neck and while he's a great AME, it'd be nice to use someone closer.

Default Basri doesn't have a watch

If you go to Ray Basri you want to schedule early in the day and/or early in the month. He takes appts, but always seemed to be running late. After waiting over an hour after my appt on two separate occasions I told him I wouldn't be back. He shrugged.

Dr Kathryn Hamilton in Bridgewater will see you on time.

Up in Sussex County NJ, about an hour from EWR Dr. Mark Madis is great. He only does medicals Wednesday after 16:00 and Saturday mornings but you're in and out really fast.

Default Lorne Sheren MD

By far the best imo is Lorne Sheren at SMQ. He’s a pilot who will have you in and out quickly, especially if you get there 30 minutes b4 office hours. I pay $125 with an EKG. I like Ray Basri in Morristown as well, but I think I paid $250.

Couldn't agree more. He used to do my medicals in 1997 when I instructed there, now he does them every 6 mos. for my employment at UAL.

Great dude.

Lorne Sheren at SMQ is great. Also pretty good is Dominick Grosso in Red Bank (you can take the NJ Transit North Jersey Coast line from EWR).
