Go to the United app and connect messages. It might ping the server more and keep you connected. I am doing it on the old iPad and have had luck

Maybe I missed your fleet, but on the bus, mine does not auto-join either. It does, however, seem to stay connected once I manually join. Just a data point.

I seem to remember this being mentioned a few months ago. I can’t for the life of me remember where though if it was FOU, a bulletin, ALPA email, or where but IIRC the not autojoining is not a bug. It’s a new feature. After engine start I always have to re-connect. Both on the 737 and the 756. Old iPad and new. I’m too lazy to go back and try to find where and when it was addressed but I’m positive it was. I forget the logic/illogic behind it also.
