Do you have a name for this management person in charge who is full of rainbows and unicorns?

The Senior VP’s name of the person who developed the PPD program for one.

A good start to fixing Newark would be to fire everyone and start over. And make sure you rehire people who care.

As well as some enforcer/Terry Tate check in/gate linebackers that can be deployed when necessary.

Have the recently fired guy head up the program.

Problem with that is finding that many people who 1.actually WANT to work and 2 , somewhat gives a dam about their job . Good luck with both

I’m pretty sure we can be good at flying airplanes while also irritated at Newark’s gate and schedule mismanagement. I can also be polite to our passengers and show empathy toward them during the absurd wait for a gate while not personally taking responsibility for it.

It appears that United is trying to get the FAA involved with slot times and enforcing the 79 events per hour restriction on Jet Blue and Spirit. This might prevent some holding or extended taxiing to takeoff delays, but I’m not sure this will have a bit of impact on our gates being occupied most of the time when we arrive at Newark. I thinks it’s interesting that the JB/Spirit response is that United scheduling incompetence is the reason for delays (probably some truth to that) or possibly intentionally sabotaging the EWR operation to make a point (can’t imagine that’s true or a good strategy, although at this point it’s so bad this might explain a lot…)

It's a cultural phenomena. Not company, Newark. Has anyone ever been downtown to pick up takeout or get a haircut? The city runs the same way as the airport. Be glad if whatever establishment you've chosen has a sign on the door explaining why they're arbitrarily closed at that particular hour.
