DAL went through this same BS circa 2014. Shot down their first contract after “you’ll never get more” doom and gloom. Guess what happened 3 months later?

At Delta, the deal was voted down 6 months prior to amendable date and the new one was signed 11 months after amendable date. 17 months. Full 18 percent retro for entire 11 months. That being said, I think this one worth voting down.

Insler? Is that you?

By the MEC’s own words this TA was 90% done PRE COVID, aka the most profitable period in the history of the industry, and THIS WAS THE BEST THEY COULD DO?!???

Not only should we send this thing down in flames, we should recall the entire group. This ain’t a 2 year deal… it’s 10+. This entire contract is a laundry list of managements wet dreams, and we get crap, nadda, nothing. Why in the HELL would management come back to the table in 2 years?! For what?!? We’re giving them everything they’ve ever wanted right now. No line pilots in TK (their end goal, this lets the camels nose under the tent), 0600 reserve day 1, scope concessions… for a 9% raise that’s a pay cut as of 24 months after the amenable date.

When short calls were introduced in 2012 it was only supposed to be for irregular ops, a tool that would never get used. Now look at it. We’re the only airline with FSB.

There isnt a single win in this thing for any part of this line flying pilot group. Spare me your recession fear mongering. If it’s going to be so bad why is the company hiring nonstop at break neck pace?!? Why do they need to staff TK and the LCA ranks so bad? Why are we breaking ground on ANOTHER new sim building for 12 more FFS and 12 FTDs? Why are we taking delivery of a new narrow body every three days?

Get bent!

A recession isn’t guaranteed to happen. Nor is it’s impact on the airline industry. A correction is guaranteed, a full blown recession is not. This is a pathetic excuse to justify a yes vote on this garbage TA. Not a UAL guy, but this isn’t a reason to say yes to this garbage.

Supply chain constraints ease up, Ukraine war ends, we begin to grow again as a nation—no recession. At the current pace the fed is inducing this “looming recession.”

At any rate, I would be a hard pass on this if I was voting. A stronger message is sent with a 90% NO than a 51% yes. You deserve more, you’ll get more.

Best of luck guys.
