Of course you will get a far better agreement and in short order. As you can see from the concessions, UAL management is in a massive training bind.

At Delta we got $800 million more and quickly. It passed with 82% yes vote.

The threat of not getting more is laughable. UAL management cannot take the chance of yet another failure. And, obviously Delta couldn’t either.

Richard Anderson pounded the table and said we wouldn’t get one penny more.

This time is far different. Your leverage is double or more what we had. Obviously the pilot shortage is real.

Thank God for MEMRAT.

Quote: I'll be honest here. You yell and scream about things when you're dead wrong...just like the few things when you're right. You have a narrative and make up **** to fit. You were flat out wrong about claims you made (in all caps BTW) about the C11 Captain rep. Now when you, Chicken Little, make claims like this post I take you with a huge grain of salt.

You've made your points, and the TA sucks and will surely be rejected. How about toning yourself down. If that's even possible.
I haven't read the other pages so if this was discussed my apologies, but I just finished watching the latest Zoom Town Hall and at the very end Mike fully confirmed that he called a "secret" meeting or at least one in which he did not initially invite the no voters. He only invited others to the meeting after he was found out.

What a sleaze.

Quote: That's a mischaracterization of Capt Cryster's (C-11 Chair) letter. He basically stated that he has reevaluated his yes vote as a MEC officer due to inputs from the rank and file. As a result, his vote will be No for the TA. Not as a MEC officer, but as a United pilot.
AFAIK, MEC officers can't get a do-over on their vote after the matter has been resolved and sent to the membership.

Whether he is sincere or just able to read the tea leaves and is saving his hide, I don't know. That's for the rank and file at C-11 to determine.

One can view Capt Cryster's letter on our ALPA website under the C-11 tab.

Pretty sure he's NOT an MEC officer and AFIK MEC officers do NOT get to vote. He's a coward, straight up, and with no mischaracterization.

My bad. He's LEC Chair.

I disagree though; I think his letter will do more to influence people to vote no than if he had voted no on the TA.

Quote: IIRC DAL C 2015 TA-1 was rejected by about 66%. Our CEO and our fearless union leaders assured us we would not get a better deal. Our union leadership went bonkers trying to sell us on it but it did not work. We go a much better deal and TA-2 was approved by 82%. Also our rejection had second and third order affects throughout the industry. I think SWA and Possibly FDX both also rejected deals soon after.

Scoop
FDX didn’t, but SWAPA did reject theirs around the same timeframe.

He voted yes after full briefings, then tells people he's voting no when social media gets hot. That's what we call a coward here in texas.

He's got the convictions and spine of a blade of grass.

Can one of you fine folks start two polls here asap?

One asking if the NC should be immediately fired.

One asking if our MEC should resign immediately.

It’s been stated so many times let’s see some numbers albeit unofficial.

Now is our time for everything with this contract, rules, money, benefits, massive reserve changes, and the rest of the ranch.

LETS ROLL!

So, this deal is touted to be worth $1.3B to pilots at United. As I understand it the Delta pilots removed the MEC and NC. How long did it take you to re-establish the Delta MEC and NCs? From the Inital TA being voted down to the new $800M TA how long did it take?
