Blocked Calendars
 

Usually one of the four reasons someone continues to block their calendar.

- You’re a scab. Not likely
- You’re ex wife or someone else is stalking you. My apologies then.
- Something funky is happening with your schedule and you don’t want others to know.
- You never unblocked it to begin with.

Transparency benefits this group as a whole. Case in point when scheduling illegally assigns a trip. Would be nice to know in case someone who should have gotten the trip can track it down and can be compensated.

Unblock your calendars please.

What I suspect is the reason they're hidden

Blocking your calendar is basically the same thing as not wearing your ALPA pin.

I wonder if the default was changed a few years ago. When I started, schedules were defaulted open and I had to block it if I wanted it. Now, it almost seems like everyone is blocked and you have to open it up if you want it that way. But I agree that transparency helps cure funny business.

Most new hires aren’t aware they have to manually unblock their calendars… it should default to share.

Disagree. But where is the block v unblock tab/setting?
