‘that’s gonna be a rough two years sitting global reserves in SFO. I personally wish we didn’t force new hires into WB vacancies on the coasts… but these are strange times.

Curious about UA specific commuting policies. I have a CJO for 29 Nov, live in LAS so Im planning on LAX or SFO on the 73. For SC/LC reserve, does UA let you grab open trips in advance of being on the clock? Ive heard DL has something like that, helps avoid the crash pad if you can select trips.

Also, any opinions on LAS to either SFO or LAX for commute?

You can aggressive pick up silo minus 1 day before. So if you’re in 4 day bucket you can go down to 3

LAX, you can drive in a pinch. Or hang out in Barstow on short call.

How often are WBFO in EWR or SFO (most junior new hire awards) actually getting converted to SC/FSB? Seems like a commuting nightmare if it’s too often.

if Ual opens new bases (mco, las, bos) for example they would be open to ALL as a new category has NO restrictions

So I could try and bid into either the 787 or a NB for that base and then eventually bid for ORD?
