couldn’t disagree more with that statement. He’s forgotten more about unionism than most of us will ever know. The two compelling points for me are1) he didn’t want the job and has no higher aspirations, unlike Insler. 2) the company wants no part of him being MEC chair. That should tell you more than all of the “ he’s mean” type posts on this and other boards.

Hell, I've crossed swords with NS more than a few times. He can be argumentative, combative, verbose, condescending, and a general pain in the ***. He's also smart, laser focused on unionist principles, and true to his word. He'll do well if elected MC because I don't see him allowing personal grievances and grudges to cloud his focus. There's NOBODY worth electing MC who doesn't have detractors (or even enemies). My guess is that he will upset his detractors AND supporters at various times. He honestly strikes me as a 'what's right' guy vs a 'who's right' guy.

The MEC has to know that we need a MC that can unify the pilot group and have the public support of the MEC.
