We all heard the uproar and saw the fainting when Swindells became MC. Petitions, letters, countless social media posts, emails, calls, etc... Meanwhile EWR barely broke 50% participation in their LEC officer elections!! Seriously?! If that's not bad enough, we actually had 6% vote YES on a TA the even management said wasn't good enough.

The UAL MEC will fix it. They and all of us have undoubtedly learned some important lessons. Fortunately, the Toddlers have lost control the MEC and ALPA Int'l as of 1/1/23.

This hit job by the 'Insler wing' of our union, and the subsequent dogpiling by so many, has caused me to do some self reflection. My advocacy for leveling the seniority slope and spreading the wealth more is gone. This group can't get out of its own way.

While frustrating, all we can do is try to leave this place better than we found it. I'm starting to think with our time left that's highly improbable.
