Getting Ready for 2023
Time for everyone to put their big boy/girl pants on and start thinking about "next year"
We have a New MEC Chair, will have some more new LEC Reps in Jan through March...
Sometime around 18 Jan 23 the company will announce the 4th quarter results..
Around the 14 of Feb is our Profit Sharing Day and that will be interesting..
The a few days later, we should see the 2022 Annual Report.
March may be quiet but we can probably expect that the Delta TA, if it makes it out of their MEC... will be coming to a Vote tally that month.
April will be the "test". Easter is the 9th and our 1st Quarter results are about 10 days later.
By April I would expect the FULL LEC's to be in office, and if I were a betting man- An AIP around this point.
AIP needs a few weeks to be turned into a TA which then needs a week(ish) to be read and Voted on at the MEC.
That would lead us into a TA and RoadShows in May for a Vote in May/June.
I bring this all up as we need to start planning out how we ALL are going to be involved.
Union Meetings, Zoom Meetings. Picketing Events... Reading Union Comm and talking to our fellow pilots. Not just here but at Delta, American, SouthWest and JetBlue.
IF we don't have a AIP>TA>RoadShows>Vote by 3rd of July (4th is on a Tues), I would expect that we request Mediation at some point in May/June.
IF that happens, expect an interesting summer. Have your ducks in a row and expect that we won't see a new UPA until the later part of 2023.
Not to scare anyone but just to solicit discussion amongst our group.
Make no mistake, the company is watching- taking Notes- measuring our resolve.
But together, we will get a Fair, Honest Industry Leading, Contract '23

Neil was Swiftboated by the losing team that accomplished bupkis during their tenure. The guys that had the stones to promulgate an 0600 start on Day One of Reserve. The guys that don't think UA pilots only deserve pennies on the dollar over the last 4 yrs of their lame attempt to get an industry-leading contract.

On the twelfth day of Christmas, United sent to me
A Twelve flight 4 day
Eleven hour layovers
Ten pairing modifications
Nine hours behind the door
Eight hours sleep
Seven airplane swaps
Six days on reserve
Five field standby’s!
Four FO swaps
Three Deadhead legs
Two hours add pay
And a Merry Christmas CCS message

Hey its Goosecrap! Having Todd over for the holidays? Crying in your eggnog? I sure hope that whoever ends up running your union teaches you a few things about how to be a strong unionist and not a capitulating Casper Milquetoast Marvin.
