Phone polling 600 pilots out of +15,000 is frankly stupid. Give us a computer survey with plenty of open text boxes so we can voice our true opinions.

That’s called emailing your representatives. Use as many characters as you’d like.
We need to have a 'union process' 101 section added to our CQDL... Something about local council meetings, resolutions, etc... |

If you’re going to poll , then poll everyone. Otherwise it’s pointless. |

I HAVE emailed my LEC Reps... but I have no way of knowing if that was presented at the MEC meetings, to the Negotiators. On top of that, how do any of us know how many pilots email them, and what the message of the email is? On the flip side, why not send out a Poll/Survey. Why not have an open link on the ALPA Site to put down needs/wants of the next UPA? That way, ALL the pilots have the opportunity to be involved. Now, as it stands- 600 pilots will be called. But how are the 600 chosen? THAT is probably what is troubling more than anything. Just thinking out loud- Lets "assume" each call lasts 10 mins. And lets assume 5 calls an hour. Lets say 6 hours in a day. So we are looking at 30 calls a day. 5 days is 150 calls. Now, lets say we have 10 pilots doing this, Mon-Fri. Trip drop. 1500 calls could go out! Add another 5 pilots to be tabulating the data and in just a week, we would have more than double what they are doing. And either way, WE are paying for it! Haven't gotten the call (and Don't expect I will! lol) but how do you answer the questions if you don't know what the new norm is in the industry. Many pilots here aren't aware of Delta's duty day, their PS and Bfund contribution, their sick leave policy, etc.. So when the phone rings and you answer- How do you answer the question "How important is Sick Leave and what would you like to see?" (hypothetical) Always Motch |

Your phone call is meaningless. |
