If I am awarded my choice in a snap shot, does that mean im good or is it still possible a mass migration of senior pilots to me could bump me out until vacancy closes?

Snapshot is for planning (feel good purposes)
Even if you can “hold it” on the last snapshot, people senior to you can bid in and push you out.. when the final is posted.

You aren’t good until the final award comes out and you are still showing what you are award…

You’ll have a mix of last-minute forgot to bid; those that put in a bid, then got cold feet; and those senior few who “don’t want to show their cards” and drop their bid in at close to crush dreams. So if you’ve got some cushion on snapshot from bottom, you’re at least in ok shape.

Unfortunately the first snap shot is the least informative one. I’m guessing your name is one or two from the bottom of a desirable BES. I’ve seen huge differences from initial to final award. I too have been the victim of many a snapshot hopes…:(

I was once 15 from the bottom on the last snapshot for a 777 FO vacancy and didn't get it. Lots of people play, "I've got a secret" with their bids. I've never understood that.

Some of us are in fervent negotiations with our significant other until the eleventh hour.

How come some spots go unfilled on the snapshot vacancy when I know there’s people who have that slot as their number 1 option? Myself included

Is it a position that is actually on the vacancy or a backfill slot? Are you seat locked?

The vacancy snapshot says 1 unfilled DCA 777 FO. Backfill I think. It’s a base transition. Not a fleet change.

Check again. DCA 777 FO shows full.
