Crew Meal Info (What's on the Tray?)
Hello,
I am a new-hire pilot and am looking for some info on the crew meal options. I have found in CCS where you can set the preferences to what meal you want, but I have not been able to find what is in each type of meal. I'm not looking for nutritional info, but I am looking for what comes on the tray for each type of meal (i.e. Hindu meal = X+Y+Z; Kosher meal = A+B+C; Lighter Choice Chicken = D+E+F; etc). I know they change from station, but at least the Oatmeal option always seems to be an oatmeal of some kind, yogurt, and fruit (Houston oatmeal > Cancun oatmeal, btw). Knowing generally what each meal option consists of would be nice when choosing. Is there a document somewhere that details that info, or does one have to try each option before we find out what's in it? I've looked all over CCS, in the Basic Indoc slides, searched these forums, and asked every Captain I've flown with, but no luck so far. Thanks for the help!
Cheers.

Congrats and welcome aboard..
That being written- Good Luck getting any info.
You could try to volunteer within the Union to see if you can get some info and help out the pilot group. Something tells me that you (probably) wont get alot of info from the Company.
It's unfortunate but, my "older" Generation never really worried about our crew meals per say. And many also knew, we don't come to work to eat their food. It is a benefit, don't get me wrong... but for most of us, we pick em and when we get em we decide if we want to eat or not.
What IS crazy is that back in the day (it IS a cultural problem) - at Continental and for a short time after we merged.. the Continental FA's would hand you the GAAP sheet (The paperwork that had ALL First Class meals on it) and we would choose a first and second choice. Weren't guaranteed it, but it was a nice option.
Now- you see what we have.

This has all of the info you are looking for:
https://ft.ual.com/Catering-Operations/Menu-Planning
The only thing missing are the Hindu, Asian, kosher, etc. Those are not static and change from time to time.
