Well…..I should say that I can’t 100% confirm that. However: When military ground troops are in contact with a hostile group and wish to end or prevent said hostile contact…..they may call in a “show of force”. A-10, F-16, what have you will fly over the hostile groups position at low altitude to convey the clear message “cease your nefarious activities immediately or you will not like what comes next if you do not”. I know we have viper drivers local to the area juuuuust down the road from TK. They were probably in the pattern and had to extend downwind……
