Uniform testing…
#133
I was in Houston not long ago and a super “experienced” surly little dude was rocking his CAL brass while walking around giving everyone in ops the stink eye. I know when Bebe was there she would absolutely hammer any idiot who was stupid enough to wear native wings, from either side. Sounds like we are need of some leadership.

I’ve PDRd my dislike for certain things of the new uniform and have never heard back. I understand they have lots of them so I wasn’t expecting to. However, it would be nice to know where the union stands on this, and if they’re going to allow the company to push these on us without significant improvements to certain design features (brass).
Anyone know when we’ll hear the results of the wear test? IE… thin vs thick stripes, brass changes, etc?

Who cares.
If United wanted to rebrand with lime green, or bright yellow, that is a UNITED MANAGEMENT decision.
Now, I personally would like a no tie option for male uniforms, and a no hat option year round, but neither of those are likely.

Any change or alteration to the Pilot uniform must be with the concurrence of the Uniform Committee”

Again, it’s a uniform. Who cares. Many pilots ignore the uniform wear policy in the FOM, anyway. They will continue to do so no matter the uniform.
Members Only jacket walking through the terminal? Gray backpack over the shoulder?
Pitiful displays of an ALPA Professional Pilot.

Good luck with that. ALPA will not fall on their sword for a uniform battle.
