We must beat these percentages!

our 5 percent was previously negotiated and should not be factored in. Period

HS. If we get the same percentage as this, it already includes the 5% as it’s already in our current pay rate. This horse has been dead for months but still gets beaten every few weeks to make sure it’s still dead.

They’re not going to negotiate the same percentages that DL and AA get, they are going to negotiate the ACTUAL RATE. People need to get over the argument that our deal must match their percentage increase plus the 5% from the pandemic LOA. That is water under the bridge and doesn’t affect current negotiations.

Ah, pattern bargaining at its finest. “Delta already negotiated a rate & we’ll just take that with no expectation of anything more- never mind what previously negotiated benefits we lose in the process.” And we wonder why United was the labor group that brought us the TUMI TA…

That’s not what I’m saying at all. They’re just negotiating for actual rates, not hung up on percentages. They have said repeatedly that we expect rates that exceed Delta, but they are going for the biggest number that they can without regard to current rates or percentage increases.

Agreed. We need to come out at least 5% ahead or we need to grieve the early trigger.

With all due respect sir, shut your mouth.

Why is nobody talking about the NC update that referenced a signing BONUS? A Bonus is not retro pay, it's pennies on the dollar. If we got the percentages in this thread title, then roll over and take a bonus, it's not a win.

I sent my two cents about a signing bonus to my reps, I hope other join that effort.

Yup - signing bonus sounds like we are working at a discounted rate through through the summer.
