Default Ua ops in need of overhaul??????

Any info on any planned changes to tops in the UA next plan? It seems to me that if you add 100-150 more planes to the system as it is now ,it will be utter chaos.Too many unneccessary plane and fa swaps leads to many cancellations as soon as something goes wrong. It seems their strategy now is to cancel flights at the first sign of trouble, but one cancellation seems to lead to 3 or 4 because now you have crews and ac out of position, especially at outstations.Last week,we had 2 cancelled flights at outstations because one FA didnt show up. Its frustarting for the crews and more for the passengers.Everyone was focused on the contract and now that it seems to be worked out, are there any planned changes to ops, better gate agents ,etc to make things run smoother? Just seems like daily confusion on a regular basis. When i was at the regionals,it was a constant shiddd show almost daily.I didnt expect the same here, looks like i was wrong. Why dont the suits in Wilis Tower do some thing to fix some of this stuff?

Fixing operational problems cost money, reducing share holder returns.

Correct. The issue is NOC Operational Control. That’s the company’s job.

United will continue to struggle operationally until Management pulls their collective heads out of the sand and gets back to the basics. They are (unfortunately) enamored with all things other than the operation.
These days I show up to work and simply wait for the train wreck that undoubtedly occurs.

Wait till the FA's want to really cause a job action and call for CHAOS, that'll blow one's mind.

Embrace the suck. After about 20 yrs watching united flounder it becomes almost routine. The core 4 are just like deltas five pillars, jetblues 5 core values, ... they have to have a mantra and they honestly don't care so why should you?

Ps the contract isn't worked out. We are 5 yrs late to an agreement behind 4 or 5 other major airlines. We don't lead the pack we follow delta.

Common sense and rational thought will not be tolerated. Fly the contract and don’t worry about things you can’t control. If the train derails, so be it. There’s nothing you can do that will change that. And the sooner you realize that, the better you will sleep at night!!

Until it costs them money (and management bonuses), nothing changes.

Do your job, have fun, realize you have zero control over the operation and they don’t care what you think.
