mentoring is literally in the job description of a Captain in the FOM.

Once again, as long as it’s SOP/FM/ATC compliant, just because someone doesn’t fly the airplane like you like to fly it doesn’t mean they’re incompetent.

You should probably brush up on those as well since mentoring is a company and FAA required component of being a captain.
