Is that a WAG or us there some data to back it up?

If it was 7.2 percent, does that mean that we would get a check for 7.2 percent of our 2023 w-2? Minus taxes of course.

I'm new to profit sharing...

Eligible earnings, yes. Everything is a WAG at this point, 2023 isn't over yet.

What's the raw number to split? 400m could be high end?

2023 eligible earnings
2023 retro check amount
plus 2022 profit sharing amount that was paid 2/2/23

sum of all , then whatever percentage we get.
it should be a good chunk but we are still waiting for them to post the numbers for the last quarter from 2023 (record profits they claim)...... that's why my guess is 7.2%

you get profit sharing on your profit sharing? That’s cool.

I hope you are right, but when I did back of the napkin math based on earning through Q3 and estimated Q4 earnings I came up with only 5.2%. That is based on 750 Million in profits in Q4, so we will see if we acheive that or if the TLV loss of flying hurt more than anticipated.

The good news is that with the 2023 retro counting in the earnings most should be getting whatever the percentage ends up being off a significantly larger number than last years earnings.

If your PS plan is the carbon copy of Delta's everyone says it is, then, no, prior year's PS isn't included. If it isn't, then you scored a big win with that.

And the IRS view PS payouts as a bonus, not normal income which is why taxes are withheld and a hire than normal rate.
