2023 eligible earnings
2023 retro check amount plus 2022 profit sharing amount that was paid 2/2/23 sum of all , then whatever percentage we get. it should be a good chunk but we are still waiting for them to post the numbers for the last quarter from 2023 (record profits they claim)...... that's why my guess is 7.2% |

Taxes on bonuses are withheld at 25%. I’d say that’s probably lower than most major airline pilots effective tax rate.
The tax rate USED to be 25% but that changed. |
*Withholding was 22%. Tax rate is whatever it is after you file with all income, deductions, etc, factored in.

Rough math alert, data from earnings reports 2023 (Q1/2/3) and 2022 (Q4):
Q1 -$256M Q2 +1387M Q3 +1485M Q4 +1412M (estimate based on last year +25%, could be more or less) Total = $4028M Per UPA, first $2500M adds 10% to our profit sharing, that’s $250M. Above $2500M ($1528M) adds 20% more, that’s another $305M. So rough but educated estimate for our portion of PS to be divided among eligible pilots is $555M. What’s interesting to me is that the United profit above $2.5B will add more to our PS check then that below it. |

if we assume there are 15,000 pilots that qualify for PS and they made an average of $300,000 each, we will be looking at 10-12% PS.
Yay! New contact paying off in spades with new(Delta) formula and DB as the cherry on top. |

Pool will be: $426m 7-9% range id estimate based on 15k pilots at $300k average salary. |
