that's always an option. Considering what we earn, I'm still amazed at how many people prioritize convenience and price over nutrition and proper portion size. Pilots will eat crew meals or fast food rather than spend a few more dollar to go purchase healthy alternatives. They are usually the same people who go to the bar on their layover for a few drinks and even more unhealthy food rather than go to the gym, sweat for an hour, and order a salad. That's their prerogative, but it's no wonder so many pilots are fat.

I’m amazed by how much people give a sh1t what other people do.

Don’t forget to ask for the crew discount everywhere you go….that $3 adds up.

The fact that UAL will no longer be the top paying B737 operator thanks to this SWA deal is nothing short of embarrassing. All the United Next talk and greatest airline ever doesn't ring true when pilots are paid 2nd or 3rd best, especially to a LCC like SWA. Truly embarrassing. Hard to wrap my head around it!

Lol….someone’s super mad. Pattern bargaining works both ways…maybe next time you can tell your mgt to stall and delay longer than necessary just so you can make $3/hr more for a couple years. Had mgt signed the SWAPA proposal in ‘21, the deal would’ve been for much much less than anyone is getting paid now. Imagine if Kirby hadn’t pulled the Tumi TA and you guys voted it in…

"emotional damage". Life can be painful. Management talk is never completely accurate...We will make more money @SWA on NB, better work rules, and flexibility. A lot of guys left this year thinking it was so much better elsewhere...i guess reality check is here. SWA is a LCC so what? Being a "legacy" make you deserve better rates? Still furlough multiples time past decade, it s not always the wining choice to be in a legacy. You cannot have the best conditions in all aspects.

You still have different fleets to bid on, polaris DH from time to time, you get a crew meal and you can wear a hat everywhere you go to feel better about those NB rates.

Absolutley not. You deserve every penny being stuck on that thing with nowhere else to go.

Yep! You guys scored very nice WB rates, well deserved to be willingly stuck for 14h in the tube going to PEK, PVG, HKG and others.

Well, nowhere else to go by choice. No one forced us to join. You just have to like 1960 tech and the guppy is a fine bird, you should try it lol

It is, I have, and I'll probably be back at some point. The efficiency of the WB trips is like crack, but even with 1/2 of it in the bunk, 17 hours is a LONG time😄. But man, 3 days, 2 legs, over 30 hours credit...
