I'm sorry, I thought this was a public forum where we discuss things airline specific. Are we really at the point where we play "I've got a secret"?
Okay, anyone else know anything about UA 777? UAL guy asking...if that should matter.

the other (private) forum has details. I for one do not want any reporter / general public reading these public posts and drawling any (wrong) conclusions.
I still say there are lots of ways to quickly find the ship number, and then sleuth the logbook on CCS. Also flight fees allows you to input the flight number.
With all of the unwanted attention all airframes / airlines are getting right now + the union’s message on social media - I don’t want any of us to get any more unwanted attention, and I don’t want the public scrutinizing our job anymore either.

And if they do work here, they should be very much aware of the company's stance and crackdown on talking about work on social media and the internet from what, 2 weeks ago?

Nothing in our company policy forbids us from discussing topics dealing with our company. They simply don't want it reflecting negatively on our business. I'll add that this is a perfectly reasonable request.
That said, it would appear that we had an Airbus yesterday blow a motor on takeoff out of ORD. The crew handled it professionally and safely recovered the aircraft shortly after departure.
Kudos to everyone involved.
I'm sure our SMS folks will provide further details at the appropriate time and after their review of the event.
I'll finish with this. A Safety Culture dies in the dark. Awareness to things happening around us is paramount to all of us staying safe out there.

I'll say this for the benefit of the whole group.
