Default Oh boy, another day of training.

Looks like SK is going to make the public feel better by giving us all another day of training starting in May.

Any guesses what this will look like? Maybe how to make 90 degree turns while taxing or maybe we can spend the day practicing gate PA's?

Looks like there’s a blurb up on FT about it, but I’m still unclear on when they’re planning to do it (i.e. is it another day tacked onto CQ? just during charm school? something else entirely?)

So we will be given lessons on on torquing axle nuts and tightening dzus fasteners on walk arounds?

It will be all the pilots on the flight deck doing their individual walkarounds, and then we will verify our walkaround as a crew one final time before push.

The article referenced PPD which we’ve already attended. Is this PPD 2.0, now with more Disc and group hugs? They never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity, so you know it’s going to good!

The other message that alluded to the CPO offering leadership and support was a joke. If you want to see empty offices in a self-service setting - go to a CPO.

You must have missed the memo, it’s not called CPO office, or CP. They’ve been spending resources and time changing language around that they could have used to focus on safety. Well, except for the C suite, their job titles are too important to change. Might lose some respect at the country club if you weren’t the CEO or COO anymore.

There was a time when we complained about not having enough in person training...

Maybe ask your LC officers or local training committee members what Kirby is referring to... unless the SM complaint scratched your itch?
