Since everyone else has picked apart the rest of this argument… and for those that don’t know, this DS is referring to the 1974 Equal Opportunity Credit act. It allowed married women to get a credit card separate from their husbands. That’s it. That’s their pinnacle of progress.
Or, more likely… this poster was stupid enough to think women couldn't walk into a bank and open a checking account until 1974. Which would be hilarious because my mother started working in banking in the 1950’s, was a branch manager and VP in the 1960’s and pre-1974. I’m gonna have to ask how she ever overcame all that oppression.
