My KCM random rate is nearly 90 percent. As I look to figure out why it is so high I read an article about delta flight attendants getting caught smuggling 8 million in drug money through kcm in JFK. Never ending people ruining it for others. Not to forget our pilot with the taser. Wonder if he was trying to
do a MH370. Crazy!

The eight pilots caught with guns probably doesn’t help.

Time for crew-only lanes to replace KCM checkpoints?

I don’t even bother at EWR. Straight to the employee lane, usually far faster then KCM, definitely faster if you get popped for a random.

I’m convinced this was the plan from the get go. Make KCM so useless and annoying that when they replace it with a crew security line people don’t riot.

Not my problem, especially if I’m late to my flight because of security issues.

I'm new to 121 and KCM. Since getting access I have gone to the line 2 times and gotten through 2 times without getting randomed. Should I quit using it now to preserve my perfect record?

Naw, I will continue to use KCM to be a PITA for TSA. The moment they see us stop using it, they will stop the program and that's what they want. I refuse to give them what they want easily if they want to make going through KCM a PITA for us....

Let’s assign blame where it’s due. TSA is not doing this to annoy us. They’re doing it because we’ve got pilots getting caught in all sorts of KCM violations, & until that nonsense stops, there’s no reason to reduce the random rate. And If one of these idiots ever ends up tied to some actual incident that reaches the public’s attention we’re not only going to lose KCM, but be subjected to regular screening BEYOND what your average passenger goes through.

There’s plenty to complain about when it comes to TSA “logic”, but in this case we’ve been behaving like a group who can’t handle having nice things.
