I bet he will, the risk of that getting exposed is too great. Especially with the coverage it’s getting.

my money is on reimbursement. I think I spend more on my underwear getting cleaned in training than what he spent on those pizzas. If they’re $15 a piece, likely less, then it’s only $450 on the bill. They got way more than their money’s worth with the one story. Company can choose to do things outside the contract if they wish.

Are you new? This is how they operate, and have operated for the 30 years I’ve been here. Talk a big game in public, and F the employees when the cameras are off. If he gets reimbursed, it would be a major change in the status quo. My money is on, “thanks for helping out our customers, but no reimbursement for you!”

I'll bet you 30 pizzas the company picks up the bill. And if not, who cares? We're basically talking about one hour of pay for a pretty senior looking CA... he probably won't even notice the cost, but I'm sure the pax appreciated the gesture during a tough situation for everyone.

Obviously there's no contractual reimbursement here, and anyone that goes out of their way like this should expect to be funding their generosity out of their own pocket. Then if you do happen to get reimbursed, even better. Either way, nice of the CA to look out for his pax (and hopefully crew too).

And maybe haters will call me naive, but it's also, you know, nice to do nice things for others whether or not you get reimbursed for it...

Yes, it’s generous. And yes, they absolutely SHOULD expect to be reimbursed from a multi billion dollar corporation. It’s called doing the right thing by your employees the same way you want your employees to do right by the customer. You know- good leads the way. Or is it just corporate lip device?

I would submit the expense report with a link to the article, and nothing else.

If they choose not to reimburse him, he’ll get that money back…. In spades.

When times are good, people do great things. I remember seeing this a few times prior to 9/11 when C2000 was in affect.

During the bankruptcy/post recession? Yeah, better luck next time........
