Jerry believe it or not we're on the same side. I'm a lifelong Dem but I hate what has happened to the party I support. Grew up the kid of a pipefitter (dad died of Mesothelioma from 30+ yr working at an Alcoa smelting plant). I just hate what is currently being peddlled I'm a southern Dem and happen to think Carville is right. Just be quiet and let the current administration wreck itself. Touting Trump is bad while peddling stuff 80% of America is against will never win national elections.

I do agree with your assessment, but I disagree with presuming to know posters' motivations much less their health status so I used your words to illustrate the point.
I am a lifelong Independent, but agree with your assessment that the Dems need to be more realistic in their assessment of their current powerlessness, "let the current administration wreck itself" and remind themselves that elections require getting the majority of the votes not pontificating from a high horse.
That said we cannot sit idly by while the Constitution is shredded. As usual in recent history Congress is impotent and the courts are the last line of defense. The mid-term elections are the key and the Senate races will be tough for the Dems.

The statements being made are not wrong. MAGA is cult that supports a Treasonous Orange Clown.
Who will be the first maga pilot to volunteer their teenage daughter to spend a weekend with the Tate brothers?
Logic and morals are lost on the MAGA crowd. They thump the Bible while ignoring its content.

The primary system in most states makes this difficult. In closed primaries the most radical wins, in open primaries the other side tries to vote for the most unelectable if they have a safe incumbent on their side. Nothing about the system encouages thoughtful debate, nuanced positions or an informed, critically thinking electorate. It's divide and conquer tribal warfare which has worked fairly well for the elite but not so much for the proverbial average Joe.

Maga are blind to the blatant corruption and incompetence. The doj is now all about revenge as American pride is dwindling. Globally we are laughed at and unliked. Rules of engagement and war are being rewritten as our government is dismantled and changed. Sad times to be an American.
Screen name checks out.

Just Google it. There are hundreds of sources and no one refutes it because it's true.
Here is a quick summary of how often.
President Trump hit an important milestone as he returned to Florida over the Thanksgiving holiday: 100 visits to Mar-a-Lago. In 1,040 days as president, he has prioritized visiting his properties over the course of his presidency, making time for nearly 400 visits to the businesses that he still owns and profits from. Of all of his properties, it appears that Mar-a-Lago is his favorite to funnel untold sums of taxpayer money to, even rebranding Mar-a-Lago the “Winter White House.”

No one refutes it, because it's probably true, but it's also not unique. Presidential travel is ungodly expensive, espcially overseas travel.

Running this country is expensive no matter who is in charge. We can all look at the numbers and claim it is wasteful, but it costs a bunch of money to provide safe a reliable working environments for humans who have to travel to perform their jobs. Just imagine if there is a forum full of airline passengers complaining about how much airlines spend on transportation and logding for a widebody crew overnighting in Paris for 30 hours.
