FAA demanding 25% reductions in EWR. If only they can keep all the airlines from wanting to depart at exactly the same time…

Kirby said the FAA said that when the runway reopens we will go from 280 to 380 daily flights and no other airlines will be able to just dump capacity because its going back to being a slot controlled airport moving forward. June 15th was supposed to be the day, but its great that its earlier. Probably too close in to add those flights now. But maybe we still have them and haven't canceled them yet.

That's great that EWR is going to be slot controlled again. What percentage of slots will be going to UA?

He mentioned 380 as a number, but he said it didn't matter because when we had more flights it was causing other delays and that we would still carry more passengers because we are upgauging in EWR and other airlines now can't just dump in a bunch of flying. Also our total count includes RJs. And there will be fewer RJs so it could be we have less overall, but more Mainline. That was what I inferred.

Since Kirby controls the Port Authority can he ask them to take the perimeter rule off LGA & DCA? 🙏🏼
